Jeremy Hefner is a former professional baseball pitcher who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 2012 to 2013. He was born on March 11, 1986, in Perkins, Oklahoma.
Hefner was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 2007 MLB Draft and made his MLB debut with the New York Mets in 2012. He also played for the Minnesota Twins and St. Louis Cardinals during his career.
Throughout his MLB career, Hefner had a record of 8-15 and an ERA of 4.65. He underwent Tommy John surgery in 2013, which led to him missing the entire 2014 season. After struggling with injuries, Hefner retired from professional baseball in 2016.
Since retiring as a player, Hefner has worked as a pitching coach in the minor leagues for the New York Mets organization. He is known for his knowledge of pitching mechanics and his ability to develop young pitchers.
